The Need...

It’s a problem that exists in every community - even right here in the Heartland. Spiritual emptiness.

It’s what rips marriages apart. It’s what causes us fights at school. It’s what leads to loneliness, pain and hopelessness.

As The Church continues to fight the giant that is spiritual emptiness, we see that the need is growing as efforts to meet it are continually falling behind.

The problem we’ve recognized is that there aren’t enough healthy, life-giving, magnetic and multiplying churches here in the Heartland. Let alone, enough to reach the nearly 1.6 million people in the Kansas City metro area who don’t attend a Christian Church of any kind and thus probably don’t have a relationship with Christ.

The Solution...

Church planting has proven to be one of the most effective ways of helping people connect to God.

Everything from research conducted by the North America Missions Board to the letters of the Apostle Paul tell us that new churches are one of the very best ways to meet the needs of the spiritually hungry.

Locally, this is where The Heartland Project comes in.

The Heartland Project exists to empower church planters who can plant healthy, magnetic and multiplying churches - in the Kansas City metro area and beyond into the Heartland of the United States - that will help connect people to God and subsequently help in changing the world.
